Juno Bio Limited (“Juno Bio”) is a womxn’s health platform seeking to close the gender health research gap by providing women with information on vaginal microbiomes and powering up research to improve the standard of care available to womxn. Our services include the Juno Bio website, and vaginal microbiome testing service which includes vaginal swab sample collection, analysis, report generation and distribution. 

Juno Bio vaginal testing service provides users with the ability to collect a vaginal swab sample “Sample” or “Samples”, using Juno Bio sample collection kits “Kits”, and to send this to Juno Bio labs where laboratory protocols are implemented to generate information from the sample “Sample Data”. This is then used to generate test data “Test Data”. Sample Data, Test Data and self-reported information are combined and used to generate “Test Results” which are then used to inform information only analysis and lifestyle recommendations through the Juno Bio Dashboard. 

Users of Juno Bio Services will have to create an account on Juno Bio’s website “Account” and will complete a survey before starting the sample collection to result process. 

PLEASE READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS CAREFULLY. IN ACCESSING AND USING JUNO BIO SERVICES, YOU AGREE TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS AND ALL OTHER POLICIES AND DISCLOSURES INCORPOATED BY REFERENCE IN THIS DOCUMENT. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO ALL OF THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, PLEASRE DO NOT USE THE SERVICE.

  1. Acceptance of Terms of Service

    These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement made between you, whether personally or on behalf of an entity (you), and Juno Bio Limited, registered at Kemp House, City Road, London, United Kingdom, EC1V 2NX (we, us), concerning your access to and use of Juno Bio Services;  services, products, testing service, Research, Research Studies, Study Participation, website, data analysis, Kits, collection and analysis of self-reported information and biological samples (the “Services”). 

    If you have any prior written agreements with Juno Bio on other matters, it is not altered by these Terms and Conditions.

    By using the Service, subscribing or accessing content that forms this Service, or clicking that you agree to these Terms and Conditions, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. You have to comply with these Terms and Conditions to use the Service and have an Account with Juno Bio. If you fail to comply with these Terms and Conditions, Juno Bio reserves the right to terminate your access to the Service without further notice. If you do not agree, please stop using the Service immediately.

  2. The Juno Bio Service

    You must carefully read and follow the instructions that accompany the Juno Bio Testing Kit product. Failure to do so may lead to rejection for processing at the Juno Bio laboratory.

  3. Privacy Policy

    Please see the Juno Bio Privacy Policy, incorporated into the Terms and Conditions, to learn about what is collected, how it is processed, protected and used.

  4. Ownership of Service and Materials

    The Service and all content, technology, know-how, information, data, recommendations, results, and software contained in or comprising of the Service, except for the User Content as defined below (collectively, the “Materials”), is the property of Juno Bio or Juno Bio’s licensors and are protected by international intellectual property laws.

  5. Limited Licence to Use

    Juno Bio grants you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to make personal, non-commercial use (this includes gifting) of the Service and the Materials. You shall not modify, lease, sell, distribute, or create derivative works of the content of the Services or Materials, unless otherwise specifically agreed in a separate agreement between you and Juno and Bio

  6. Commercial Use

    If you would like to become an authorised Channel Partner, please get in touch with Juno Bio at hello@juno.bio.

  7. Conditions of Use

    To use our Service, you must be legal age in your area of residence to form a binding agreement and your location must not limit your access to our Service.

  8. Registration

    You must provide accurate Registration information and update this, as necessary. You are responsible for maintaining the accuracy and confidentiality of your Account information and password, including all shipments of Kits, loss or damage arising from your responsibility. 

  9. Purchase, Charges and Billing

    When you make a purchase with Juno Bio, you authorize us to charge your credit card or other payment method you have chosen (“Payment Method”), for all the Services purchased (including any Kits). Further, you agree to these Terms.

    YOU AGREE THAT ANY PAYMENT SUBMITTED BY YOU TO JUNO BIO FOR SERVICES IS SUBMITTED ON BEHALF OF YOURSELF, WITHOUT EXPECTATION OF ANY REIMBURSEMENT BY THIRD-PARTY PAYERS. 

  10. Geographic Restrictions

    You acknowledge that you are solely responsible for compliance with the local laws applicable to your location and use of the Juno Bio Service.

  11. Statements and Claims

    ANY STATEMENTS OR CLAIMS THAT APPEAR ON JUNO BIO’S SERVICE, PACKAGING OR RELEVANT DOCUMENTATION HAVE NOT BEEN EVALUATED BY THE FOOD AND DRUG ADMINISTRATION. THE JUNO BIO KITS ARE NOT INTENDED TO DIAGNOSE, TREAT, CURE, OR PREVENT ANY DISEASE.

  12. Complaints

    If you have any complaints or concerns, please direct these to hello@juno.bio. We will endeavour to address these efficiently.

  13. Sample Return Policy and Expired Kit Notice

    Your Kit must be used, and your Sample be returned to Juno Bio laboratories for processing, within six months of the purchase date. After this time, the kit is deemed to have expired. 

  14. Research and Research Studies

    By using the Service and acceptance of these Terms, you grant us the consent to use your information for research and development purposes (“Research”). 

    When you use our Services, Juno Bio may use your Personal Information, and other data at individual-level or otherwise (in de-identified, anonymised, or aggregate forms)  for ongoing  research conducted by Juno Bio that help us better understand womxn’s health (“Research”). The information we use in Research is often summarised, aggregated, or combined across a group of subjects to minimize the chance of identification.

    In the event we require use of individual-level Personally Identifiable Information in Research or for other purposes, we will reach out to you and obtain specific consents applicable to such other use. In such cases, with your consent, expressed when you sign a Consent Form that is presented to you during your use of our Services, Juno Bio may use your Individual-level Personally Identifiable Information in Juno Bio lead clinical studies and scientific research activities identified by Juno Bio study protocols that support a specific diagnosis of a disease, development of a treatment, or predict certain health conditions (“Research Study” or “Research Studies”). Participation in Research Studies is voluntary. We strongly believe that the insights we gain through Research and Research Studies may benefit womxn as a whole, and indirectly you or your family as well in the future.

    If you choose not to accept the Consent Form or grant a study specific Consent to us, your Individual-level Personal Information will not be used for Research Studies or shared with collaborators or third parties or used for Study Participations. When you have not accepted a Consent Form, your Personal Information in de-identified and anonymised forms that do not identify you personally and in aggregate form may still be used by us, to the extent permitted by law, for Research, Research Studies, data analysis, marketing, and for other purposes as outlined in this Privacy Policy.

  15. Unlawful and Prohibited Use Policy

    By using our Services you agree not to engage in any activities associated with re-selling, misrepresenting, re-packaging, modifying or using our Services for unintended purposes. 

  16. Breach

    You agree that you are solely responsible for any breach of your obligations under these Terms.

  17. Modifications, Updates and Delays

    Juno Bio reserves the right to modify, update or discontinue any aspect of the Service. You acknowledge that this, as well as certain business operation requirements and shipping restrictions, may cause delays. Juno Bio is not liable to you or any third parties for such delays. 

    In the event that there is a Sample processing failure, Juno Bio will make every effort to notify you and make provisions, where possible and reasonable as deemed by Juno Bio,  for rectifying this.

  18. User Content

    You may be able to post user content to our Service such as public and or private posts, emails, messages, photos and videos (“User Content”) for which you are solely responsible. Juno Bio has the right but not an obligation to screen, refuse, accept or publish User Content and to disclose User Content is required by law or regulations.  You agree not to post any User Content that is false, misleading, obscene, threatening, encouraging of criminal offense, in violation of third-party rights, regulations or law, containing confidential third party information, containing harmful or disruptive files or is hateful, as deemed by Juno Bio, to a third party. By sending user content, you grant Juno Bio irrevocable ownership of this content. 

  19. Shipping and Dispatch
    Orders placed with expedited shipping before 1:00 PM PT, Monday through Friday, will be processed and dispatched on the same day. If an order is placed after 1:00 PM PT, it will be processed and dispatched on the following business day. Please note that any orders placed after 1:00 PM PT on Friday, as well as orders placed on Saturdays, Sundays, or public holidays, will be dispatched on the next available business day. Juno Bio is not responsible for any delays in delivery once your order has been handed over to the shipping provider, nor for any delays caused by circumstances beyond our control.

  20. Sample Collection and Submission

    You agree to follow the instructions for sample collection and submission laid out in the Kit you purchase.

  21. Testing and Analysis

    Juno Bio may carry out the following laboratory procedures with your sample:

    1.  Vaginal microbiome analysis to identify and quantify the microbes in your Sample.
    2. Vaginal immune response to identify the effect that the microbes in your Sample are having on you.

    Your sample will contain your genetic material. Juno Bio will never analyse your genetic material without your prior consent.

  22. Samples and Test Results

    Juno Bio will provide you with your Test Results, scientific- literature based descriptions of your microbes and lifestyle recommendations that you may chose to implement or ignore at your discretion 

  23. Ownership: Use of Test Results and Data

    By submitting Samples to Juno Bio, you agree to, and hereby do, transfer and assign to Juno Bio and its assigns and successors all right, title, and interest in and to the Samples, Self-Reported Information, analysis, Test Results, Sample Data, Test Data, and other data derived therefrom. If laws in certain jurisdictions limit such transfer and assignment, you agree to grant Juno Bio an exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable, royalty-free, sublicensable, and perpetual license to use the aforesaid data. You understand and agree that Juno Bio may use your Samples and any data related thereto or derived therefrom (including, without limitation, your answers to questionnaires submitted by Juno Bio as part of the Service or information regarding you, your health, lifestyle or medical history submitted by you to Juno Bio), in accordance with the terms of our Privacy Policy for improving our data analysis methods and the artificial intelligence engine, for internal use, Research, Research Studies, and for generating analytics broadly at the population level. Please read the Privacy Policy for further information on use of Samples and other data for these purposes. You understand that you will not receive and you agree to waive any compensation for the use of your Sample in research and development for raising the bar in women’s health.

  24. User Representations

    a) You understand that Juno Bio does not provide medical advice.
    b) The Juno Bio service is not intended for use to diagnose, prevent, or treat any condition or disease or to ascertain the state of your health or treatment thereof in the absence of specific medical advice and clinical diagnosis.
    c) The Service provided is for information only and you are encouraged to always seek advice from a qualified physician for medical needs.
    d) You are responsible for not using our service if it is not compliant with your local laws and regulations.
    e) You will follow the instructions associated with the Service. 

  25. Termination

    If you wish to terminate your account or agreement with Juno Bio please reach out to us at hello@juno.bio

  26. Possible Risks, Considerations, Warnings and Limitations

    a) Some of the information and results you receive may make you feel uncomfortable or worried. 
    b) Juno Bio will not provide any payment or treatment if you have an injury while collecting Samples. 
    c)
    If you have any concerns or pre-existing medical conditions you should only use our kits after consulting your physician.

  27. Information Sharing

    In the event that you would like to share your information with a vaginal coach, wellness practitioner or physician, you may do so at your own discretion or ensure that such consent is given to use in writing if it is required that we aid in this transfer.

  28. Cancellations and Returns

    Except when due to an error on Juno Bio’s behalf, as defined at Juno Bio’s discretion:

    a) You may cancel and obtain a refund within 24 hours of purchasing a Juno Bio kit. 
    b) If you request a refund after 24 hours but within 14 days of purchase, and if your Sample has not been returned to us, we will refund 25% of the purchase price. 
    c) To request a refund, please email hello@juno.bio
    d) Qualifying refund requests will be processed within 45 days of receipt of request. 
    e) No refunds will be available of requests received after 14 days from the purchase date.
    f) Kit replacements may be made at Juno Bio’s discretion. All kit replacement requests should be made via hello@juno.bio.

  29. Trademarks

    All Juno Bio trademarks, service marks, trade names, logos, domain names, and any other features of Juno Bio’s brand are the sole property of Juno Bio. These Terms do not grant you any rights to use any Juno Bio trademarks or brand features whether for commercial or non-commercial use, or to edit any of these trademarks and features, unless you have specifically agreed otherwise in writing with Juno Bio.

  30. Copyright Policy

  31. Providers and Listed Resources

    Juno Bio is not responsible for any loss, damage, information, correspondence, business dealings, promotions, service providers, vendors or resources found on or through the Service.

  32. Warranty and Disclaimers

    THE SERVICE AND INFORMATION PROVIDED ON JUNO BIO’S WEBSITE IS PROVIDED FOR EDUCATIONAL AND INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THE SERVICE DOES NOT PROVIDE MEDICAL ADVICE OR DIAGNOSIS, TREATMENT, CURES OR PREVENTION OF DISEASE OR ILLNESS. JUNO BIO IS NOT ENGAGED IN MEDICAL ADVICE OR RECOMMENDATIONS AND IS NOT TO BE USED TO DIRECT CARE UNLESS EXPLICITLY AGREED. 

    ALWAYS SEEK MEDICAL ADVICE FROM A REGULATED AND APPROPRIATE HEALTHCARE PROVIDER FOR SPECIFIC MEDICAL CONCERNS. DO NOT DELAY SEEKING MEDICAL ADVICE OR DISREGARD MEDICAL ADVICE BECAUSE OF THE SERVICE.  RELIANCE ON INFORMATION PROVIDED BY THE SERVICE IS AT YOUR OWN RISK AND YOU ASSUME FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE USE OF THIS SERVICE AND THE INFORMATION PROVIDED THROUGH THIS SERVICE.

    THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. 

    JUNO BIO DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE IS ERROR-FREE. JUNO BIO IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ERRORS OR OMISSIONS IN THE JUNO BIO SERVICE. JUNO BIO DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE IS FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS. PLEASE USE INDUSTRY-RECOGNIZED SOFTWARE TO DETECT AND NEUTRALIZE VIRUSES AND OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS WHEN USING THE SERVICE.

  33. Limitation of Liability, Indemnification and Dispute Settlement

    JUNO BIO IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LOSS OR DAMAGE CAUSED BY OR RESULTING FROM RELIANCE ON ANY INFORMATION OBTAINED FROM JUNO BIO. THE AGGREGATE LIABILITY OF USING JUNO BIO’S SERVICE SHALL NOT EVER EXCEED THE FEES YOU PAID FOR THE JUNO BIO PRODUCT. SHOULD YOUR JURISDICTION NOT ALLOW SOME THE EXCLUSIONS OR LIMITATIONS SPECIFIED HERE, THESE WILL NOT APPLY TO YOU. IF YOU ARE A CALIFORNIA RESIDENT, YOU WAIVE CALIFORNIA CIVIL CODE SECTION 1542, WHICH SAYS “A GENERAL RELEASE DOES NOT EXTEND TO CLAIMS WHICH THE CREDITOR DOES NOT KNOW OR SUSPECT TO EXIST IN HI FAVOR AT THE TIME OF EXECUTING THE RELEASE, WHICH, IF KNOWN BY HIM MUST HAVE MATERIALLY AFFECTED HI SETTLEMENT WITH THE DEBTOR.”

    You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Juno Bio, it’s directors, employees, and agents, from and against any claims, damages, costs, liabilities, and expenses arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

    Any controversy or claim between the parties or arising out of any use of the Service shall be determined by one disinterested arbitrator determined by Juno Bio. In no event shall any claim, action or proceeding related in any way to the Service be instituted more than two (2) years after the cause of action arose.

  34. Miscellaneous

    1. These terms and any disputes shall be governed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. 
    2.
    Should any of these terms be invalid or unenforceable, then such terms shall only be enforced to the extent that it can be and all other terms shall remain in full force. 
    3.
    This agreement cannot be assigned by any party without prior consent except by Juno Bio in the case of a merger or acquisition. 
    4.
    No joint venture, partnership or employment is created by these Terms. 
    5.
    Should the performance of any part of these Terms by either party be made impracticable by reason of any flood, riot, fire, pandemic, public health crisis, judicial or governmental action, emergency, labour disputes, act of God or any other causes beyond the control of either party, that party shall be excused from such to the extent that it is impacted by such cause. 
    6.
    These Terms, in combination with the Privacy Policy, constitute the complete and exclusive terms of the agreement between the parties and supersedes any and all prior communications, representations, statements and understandings.

Subscription Policy

  1. Your Juno Bio Subscription is a recurring subscription, renewing every three (3) months (Billing Cycle). When you purchase a Subscription you agree to an initial and recurring payment using the payment details in your account on the same date each Billing Cycle, starting from the date that your Subscription was purchased and on a recurring basis until you cancel your subscription.
  2. You will receive one test every three (3) months.
  3. You may cancel your Subscription at any time.
  4. If you cancel your Subscription after your first kit, you will be automatically charged a non-refundable $50 cancellation fee, bringing the cost of your first kit to our standard retail price of $149. Our subscriptions are designed to make monitoring of your vaginal microbiome over time more accessible. It should not be used as a discount for a single test. Black Friday Discounts apply to the first test in subscriptions only. Cancellations after the first kit purchased with a Black Friday Discount, will also be automatically charged a non-refundable $50 cancellation fee.
  5. You can cancel your subscription at https://app.juno.bio/subscription
  6. You can also find and manage details of your Subscription, including shipping address information, by logging in to your Juno Bio account and going to https://app.juno.bio/subscription.
  7. We may terminate or pause your Subscription if:
    1. Your payment details or contact details are out of date/expired;
    2. Your account has been terminated or suspended;
    3. The requested Product is unavailable/out of stock;
    4. We cannot authorise your payment for any reason; or
    5. There has been an error on the pricing or the description of the Services.
